Dating does not lock other heart events
Choosing a partner to date or marry turns other candidates into best friends, meaning all base heart events and progression rewards (such as March’s 2-heart copper hoe and Adeline’s ring) remain fully accessible. Friday after 6:00 PM at the Inn is the best one-stop hub for weekly conversations and gifts.

Friendship, dating, proposal, and marriage
- 1–7♥Friendship first
Talk, gifts, and 2–8 heart events are the same loop as any close friendship.
- 8♥8-heart choice
The 8-heart event offers a romantic route (Dating) or a best-friend route (Best Friend).
- 8–10♥Dating to 10 hearts
Keep talking and gifting while dating. A completed weekend date is worth 60 friendship points.
- 10♥Proposal at 10 hearts
While dating at 10 hearts, craft the ring and choose Discuss with your partner.

Six regular date locations
Elsie’s dating tutorial gives the Inn Menu, and the Picnic Set if Caldarus already has a Deep Woods home. Bath Soap is sold at Wheedle’s Stall after that tutorial while you are dating someone. Use each inspiration item, then invite your partner for a weekend date.

Complete route
Dating and proposal checklist
- 1Reach 8 hearts and complete earlier heart events in order.
- 2Choose the romantic route in the 8-heart event, or become best friends instead.
- 3Continue dating and reach 10 hearts.
- 4At 10 hearts while dating, receive the Engagement Ring recipe before leaving the farmhouse.Blacksmithing level 30: 1× Dragon-Forged Core, 2× Diamond, 4× Mistril Ingot, 4× Gold Ingot.
- 5Craft the ring, hold it, and choose Discuss with your partner.
- 6After the proposal, choose the wedding date.
Wedding day
The wedding occupies the full day. Townsfolk automatically handle watering, feeding, and petting animals; afterward your spouse moves into the farmhouse with a new schedule.
After marriage
The next day brings three spouse-specific furniture pieces. After the wedding, going to sleep can start the family conversation. There is currently no divorce mechanic.

If hearts stop moving
Dating or marriage is not continuing
Separate unfinished heart events, unmet story quests, and version limits before assuming the route is missing.
- Finish 2, 4, 6, and 8-heart events in order, and pick the romantic choice at 8 hearts if you want to date.
- Caldarus needs the Deep Woods for the 8-heart event; Seridia must already be living in town. March’s 8-heart event also needs the Fire Seal and a non-festival morning at home.
- Dates require Elsie’s tutorial plus the matching inspiration item. Bathhouse Date is the paid Saturday-market unlock.
- Proposal needs 10 hearts while dating. If that visit never appears, you are still on an earlier event or a story gate, not a missing marriage toggle.
